Information:

The laser pointer is just what it sounds like. It helps keep the accuracy of the weapon even over long distances. It is attached to the the weapon in various locations depending on the weapon.

Pros:

Increases accuracy: Using the laser pointer significantly increase weapon accuracy.

Cons:

Is Visible to all players. This is a good way to give away your position or what you are shooting at in a hurry.
Takes up an item slot. It can't be helped you can only carry so much equipment.

Weapons that can use the Laser Pointer:

Effects:

This increases the groupings of your shots (aka it makes the weapon more accurate).

Toggles:

This item can be disabled with the use item command. (Scroll through your items and select the laser pointer, and it will enable or disable its usage.) An player wishing to be more stealthy will learn to turn the laser pointer off quickly when not wanting to be found.

Dropping:

This Item can be dropped with the ut_itemdrop command. This can be bound to any key selected by the player.
