Info:

This weapon is commonly called a G36.  It is a highly accurate weapon when still, many players report a high accuracy penalty for moving (running/jumping/sliding) with this weapon.  This weapon can be equipped with a silencer, but not a laser pointer.  This is usually a good starter weapon, it allows for a single level scope (zoom) and a decent rate of fire, with moderate damage.

Accuracy: (Updated Stats 15 Sept 2009)

I have fired this gun in every mode 6 times for a total of 720 rounds for my statistical data.

The G36 is about 86-88% accurate depending on how you have it configured.  Even with no laser pointer or silencer bullets are nicely grouped, and stay relatively close to the intended target. If you would like to know how accuracy calculations were performed please click here.

Scope and Options:

There are 4 available scope options for the G36 they are:

cg_scopeg36 0

cg_scopeg36 0

cg_scopeg36 1

cg_scopeg36 1

cg_scopeg36 3

cg_scopeg36 2

cg_scopeg36 4

cg_scopeg36 4

The scope also has the following options

  • cg_scopefriendrgb R G B Br: Where they are Red, Green, Blue and brightness values. This determines the color of the scope crosshairs when placed over a friendly target.
  • cg_scopeRGB R G B Br: Where they are Red, Green, Blue and brightness values. This determines the color of the scope crosshairs when placed over an enemy target.
  • cg_scopering (0/1): This toggles weather or not a ring is put around the scope to indicate accuracy penalties.
  • cg_zoomfov #.###: This is the field of vision for the scopes.  I do not know the range values for this by default it is 22.5
  • cg_zoomWrap (0/1): This toggles the ability to wrap from zoomed to next level or out. If enabled when you get to the last level of zoom and click zoom in again, it exits the scope.  If not keeps you at the lowest level of zoom.
